Nuggets' Timofey Mozgov Heads To Europe During NBA Lockout, According To Report

While Denver Nuggets point guard Ty Lawson is still thinking about playing in Europe if the NBA Lockout heads into the fall (and it likely will), teammate Timofey Mozgov has signed a contract with BC Khimki Moscow in Russia, according to Sportando. While no financial terms have been discloses yet, the deal is reportedly for one year with an NBA out, allowing Mozgov to return to the Nuggets once the lockout is over.

Mozgov came to Denver as part of the Carmelo Anthony-to-New York deal back in February. He managed to see time in just 11 games with them, averaging 2.5 points and 1.5 rebounds in six minutes. If the Nuggets are unable to re-sign Nene once the lockout ends and free agency begins, the team could be looking at Mozgov starting at center on Opening Night.

Mozgov began his career with Khimki before coming over to the NBA in 2010.
