Thaddeus Young Signs 5-Year, $42 Million Deal With Philadelphia 76ers, According To Report

The Denver Nuggets will need to look elsewhere for a forward who can play both power and small forward now that it looks like Thaddeus Young will re-sign with the Philadelphia 76ers. He is set to sign a five-year, $42 million with the Sixers, according to Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski. Young will make make just over $8 million per year under the new deal.

Young was a restricted free agent and the Sixers could match any contract given to him by other teams. The Nuggets were reported to have had good conversations with Young earlier and the week and close to offering him a deal once free agency started. However, it appears that over $8 million per year was too much for the Nuggets. The team has around $20 million in cap space available.
