The season is almost here and Carmelo Anthony is still a Denver Nugget, for better or worse. Marc J. Spears of Yahoo! Sports reports that Melo isn’t beaming with joy over still being in Denver:
But will he still be smiling come January if the Nuggets haven’t found him a new home?
“Anything can happen,” Anthony said Thursday morning. “As of right now, I’m here.”
That does not sound like a man willing to spend much more time in Denver. The Derrick Favors trade could still be revisited, but the Nuggets are looking for a better deal. However, Chicago and New York seem unlikely destinations at this point.
