Peyton Manning: Broncos Looking To 'Form Our Identity'

Stay connected for news and updates

There are still 15 games to play in the 2012 NFL Season, but Peyton Manning and the Broncos got off to a very quick start by beating the Steelers, 31-19. The team looked similar to the way it did last year -- solid offensive line and a nasty defense with much better quarterback play. It was a solid first win, but as Peyton said in his post-game interview, the team still has plenty of work to do in order to find out what kind of team it will be as the season continues:

"There’s always a lot of unknown going into the first week," Manning said. "It was a very interesting game … we’re still trying to form our identity. … It’s just one game and you try to keep it in perspective. But I know how hard I’ve worked to get to this point. It definitely feels good, it’s special."

It should be easy for the Broncos to form an identity with Manning as their quarterback, at least offensively, thanks to his signature no-huddle, quick play offense that he runs as efficiently as any quarterback in the league.
