Von Miller Trained With Jason Pierre-Paul, Is Loose From Yoga

Stay connected for news and updates

Von Miller, Denver Broncos linebacker and the 2011 defensive rookie of the year, is looking to have an even better sophomore season after piling up 11.5 sacks during the regular season. While still learning to play linebacker and dealing with a cast on his injured thumb, Miller was still a force to be reckoned with during the final stretch of the season. In 2012, he hopes that his offseason training has him ready to peak in September, reports the Denver Post.

Miller spent the offseason practicing yoga with New York Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul, who had 16.5 sacks in his second year in the league. That was good for fourth in the league-lead. If that helps Miller improve his skills at attacking the quarterback and opposing tight ends and linemen we could be looking at the league's defensive player of the year.

Just don't let him catch any passes from Peyton Manning, as Miller is quoted as saying in the Denver Post's article. No one wants another season of shaky depth at receiver.
