Ryan Lindley To Start Vs. Broncos; Kevin Kolb, John Skelton Will Not Play For Cardinals

Stay connected for news and updates

The Denver Broncos will likely not be seeing the Arizona Cardinals' regular-season starting quarterback when they play their final preseason game on Thursday.

Both Kevin Kolb and John Skelton are expected to sit out for Arizona, via Kent Somers of azcentral.com, leaving third-string rookie quarterback Ryan Lindley to start.

This leaves Rich Bartel as Lindley's backup against Denver. The Cardinals want to see how Lindley and Bartel get some reps, while protecting Kolb and Skelton from injury.

Arizona still has not made an announcement as to who will start at QB in Week 1 of the regular season, with Somers reporting that the team still hasn't made a decision.

Thursday's game is scheduled for 9:00 p.m. MT at University of Phoenix Stadium.
