The Denver Broncos head to the desert to end the preseason. They face the Arizona Cardinals on Thursday.
The Denver Broncos are 1-2 entering the final week of the preseason, coming off a 29-24 loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday afternoon. The Broncos travel to Phoenix for a Thursday contest against the Arizona Cardinals to close out its preseason schedule.
With the regular season fast approaching, the Broncos will likely limit their starters and maybe not even play a few of them. That, of course, will put plenty of attention on what happens with Peyton Manning. The signal caller enjoyed his best preseason game against the 49ets, throwing for 122 yards and two touchdowns on 10-of-12 passing.
The Cardinals, meanwhile, are 1-3 and playing in their fifth preseason game to end August. They lost to the New Orleans Saints in the Hall of Fame Game and then lost to the Kansas City Chiefs. After edging the Oakland Raiders, 31-27, Arizona fell to the Tennessee Titans, 32-27, last Thursday. The Cardinals are still deciding between Kevin Kolb and John Skelton as the starting quarterback.
Game time/date: 9 p.m. MT, Thursday, Aug. 30
Location: University of Phoenix Stadium, Phoenix, Ariz.
TV: NFL Network (national) / KTVD-TV (local)
