Jim Leonhard Activated From PUP List, Participates In Broncos Practice

The Denver Broncos got some good news on the injury front on Tuesday, as free agency acquisition S Jim Leonhard practiced for the first time since undergoing knee surgery in December:

Leonhard, entering his eighth year in the NFL out of Wisconsin, started the last three seasons for the New York Jets where he was one of the main cogs in Rex Ryan's defenses. In 2011, he had 48 tackles, 6 pass deflections and 1 interception in 13 games.

Despite being undersized at 5'9, 190, he's one of the hardest hitters in the NFL, and he'll be expected to shore up a secondary that was dissected by Tom Brady in their second-round playoff loss last year.
