Denver Broncos quarterback Brock Osweiler received great support from John Elway on Tuesday, calling him the team's "future" under center.

Denver Broncos vice president of football operations John Elway answered questions from season ticket holders during a press conference on Tuesday afternoon. Second-round draft pick Brock Osweiler, former Arizona St. Sun Devils quarterback, was certainly a topic of discussion, and Elway certainly was unequivocal about the quarterback's future:

Obviously the future is a long way off and things could certainly change, but Elway never quite said anything like that about Tim Tebow. That was mostly because Elway never fully bought into the signal caller that he inherited from the failed Josh McDaniels regime.

Elway acknowledged that it was a tough decision to draft a developmental quarterback, but noted that the organization has "high hopes" for Osweiler. Elway appears to have his quarterback of the now (Peyton Manning) and of the future (Osweiler). However, the future has that nasty habit of becoming now all the time.
