2012 NFL Draft Results: Utah State's Bobby Wagner Goes To Seahawks In Round 2

The Seattle Seahawks used the No. 47 pick of the 2012 NFL Draft to select Utah State Aggies linebacker Bobby Wagner. The Seahawks acquired that pick by trading down with the New York Jets. from No. 43 overall, a pick used to draft wide receiver Stephen Hill.

The 6-foot-1, 232-pound linebacker had 147 total tackles as a senior in 2011, picking up 11.5 sacks and four sacks along the way. Will he remain as a middle linebacker remains a hanging question.

Wagner joins West Virginia Mountaineers defensive end/linebacker Bruce Irvin as a Seahawks pick so far. Irvin was a bit of a surprise to many draft observers on Thursday night when he went No. 15 overall. He generated late buzz and might have gone later in the first round, but the Seahawks believe they have a good one.
