John Elway, the top executive for the Denver Broncos, spoke with the media on Monday to discuss the upcoming draft. Among the topics Elway addressed, he made a particular point to reaffirm his commitment to the team's current group of defensive tackles, including DT Ty Warren and DT Kevin Vickerson:
Elway: "We don't feel as bad about our (defensive) tackles as everybody else does...Ty Warren will be back...Vickerson's coming back."

Elway further suggested that the team may surprise some pundits as they draft the best available talent instead of try to fill their team needs:
Elway: "You have a lot more misses when you draft for needs." #Broncos

And as well as potentially drafting in an area of relative strength, Elway also shared that the team's first round pick is available for trades:
Elway said the team is "open" to trading up or down from pick No. 25.
