Ryan McBean Suspension: Broncos To Release DT Ryan McBean

Denver Broncos defensive tackle Ryan McBean was on the field for 58% of the team's snaps in 2011, but that apparently wasn't enough to overcome his six game suspension for violating the league's ban on performance-enhancing drugs. According to Mike Klis of the Denver Post, the Broncos are set to release McBean on Monday.

McBean was a fourth round pick in 2007 by the Pittsburgh Steelers, but he was cut by the team in 2008. He then caught on with the Broncos, where he's played in 46 games since 2009. In those games, he amassed 77 tackles and four sacks, the latter of which all came this past season.

McBean will likely be replaced by the recently signed Justin Bannan, though it certainly wouldn't be a surprise to see the Broncos address the interior of their defensive line in this year's draft.
