The Denver Broncos may have done more than just talk to Peyton Manning's agent. Pro Football Talk reports that according to NFL sources, Denver is positioning itself to make a big push for the now free agent Hall-of-Famer.
Mike Klis of the Denver Post reported earlier on Wednesday that the Broncos had called Manning's agent Tom Condon to guage the quarterback's interest in the team. The call wasn't considered an outward advance, however, after all the team made the playoffs under Tim Tebow this past season. The Pro Football Talk report indicates that there may have been more to the call, though everything up to this point should be classified as speculation.
What happens to Tebow if Manning joins the Broncos remains the biggest question surrounding a hypothetical deal. Tebow could simply take a back seat, or Denver might opt to use his size and athleticism in some other role.
