Apparently the Denver Broncos believed Tim Tebow's ability to stay healthy was a major factor in the team deciding to go after a new quarterback this offseason. And apparently that is a straight like to bringing in Peyton Manning. As Mike Klis of the Denver Post writes:
It was Tebow's rib and sternum injuries suffered during the Broncos' 45-10 playoff loss at New England in mid-January that convinced management to rethink its quarterback position, according to NFL sources. The result was the Broncos' pursuit of Manning [...]
Mind you, this is about the quarterback who has had multiple neck surgeries and missed the entire 2011 season. This sums up how we should take this report:
The Denver Post has been all over the Manning story, but the notion that Manning was signed b/c of health concerns about Tebow? COMICAL!!
