The Denver Broncos and the Arizona Cardinals are the leaders in pursuit of signing free agent quarterback Peyton Manning, according to Adam Schefter's sources. But, of course, we don't know that for sure. Schefter's sources believe Manning's gut is leaning toward Denver right now, as indicated by his visit there first before heading down south to meet with the Arizona Cardinals.
Apparently the Seattle Seahawks are also attempting to have a meeting with Manning, but so far the team has been rebuffed, which tells us what Manning thinks of the situation in the Pacific Northwest. But will Manning open that search? He might not if he really does want to make a decision on Tuesday.
And should that decision be to sign with the Broncos, we know that will increase the amount of speculation of a Tim Tebow trade, something that has began in earnest.
But, as we've learned with a number of free agents across all sports over the last year, the mystery team has often won out with a player.
