Knowshon Moreno DUI: Denver Broncos RB Arrested For Drunk Driving On Feb. 1, According To Report

Knowshon Moreno faces drunk driving charges for a Feb. 1 incident.

Feb 6, 2012 - According to a report from KDVR Fox 31 in Denver, Broncos running back Knowshon Moreno was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol on Feb. 1.

He was pulled over in his Bentley convertible for speeding through a construction zone, and when police smelled alcohol, they suspected Moreno might be intoxicated.

According to the citation, Moreno, 24, was driving a Bentley convertible when he was pulled over on southbound Interstate 25 near Quincy Ave. for going as fast as 70 miles per hour in a construction zone.

The posted speed limit was 45 mph.

Moreno failed a field sobriety test and was arrested after police administered a breathalyzer test. Police indicated that Moreno was "respectful and polite" about the whole ordeal.

The Denver Broncos released a statement Monday, included in the above link, which says that they are "thoroughly reviewing" the incident.
