The Denver Broncos and the Pittsburgh Steelers might just be the draw on TV during this Wild Card weekend of the 2012 NFL Playoffs. The Steelers are a team that has a national following while the Broncos have Tim Tebow, sure-fire rating grabber. While Tebow's luster has appeared to wane in the last several weeks with his poor play, he is still a big story in the league. Broncos public relations director Patrick Smyth expects the rating for this game to be "massive":
Expect massive TV audience for Broncos-Steelers (2:40 pm MST, CBS). Broncos TV ratings up NFL-high 34% locally this year.— Patrick Smyth (@psmyth12) January 8, 2012
Of course, that audience could always taper off if the Broncos struggle with Tim Tebow at quarterback and Brady Quinn can't do any better. But why do we want to be pessimists about all of this? It's time for the Broncos to pick up a postseason win.
