The Denver Broncos are out to pick up just its second win in a Wild Card game in eight tries. However, if history is trying to tell us something about Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, it is that the Broncos are at the right place to make a win possible.
The Denver Broncos won a Wild Card game during the 1997 season when the Broncos defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars, 42-17, at Mile High. The Broncos are once again at home for a Wild Card game this weekend.
Of course, the recent history of the Broncos has been just the opposite of that dominating win against the Jaguars. The Broncos lost to the Baltimore Ravens, 21-3, during the 2000 season playoffs and then lost back-to-back Wild Card games to the Indianapolis Colts during the 2003 and 2004 seasons, 41-10 and 49-24, respectively.
Will a small sample size of history prove true 15 years later?
