2012 NFL Mock Draft: CBS Sports' Rob Rang Sticks With Jerel Worthy For Broncos, Making For Boring Mock

Apparently CBS Sports' Rob Rang has fallen in love with the idea of the Denver Broncos taking Michigan St. Spartans defensive tackle Jerel Worthy in the 2012 NFL Draft. In his most recent mock (Jan. 23), Rang still has Worthy going to the Broncos and he even keeps the same blurb for the selection, which hasn't changed in weeks.

The Broncos could use an upgrade at defensive tackle and Worthy is one of several candidates the Broncos could look at in the first round. If we look farther down in his mock draft, Fletcher Cox is off the board at No. 27 to the Patriots. Fletcher has been projected to the Broncos by the Sporting News and Mel Kiper. There's also Michael Brockers, who goes one pick later at No. 28. Many will remember Brockers for his blocking a field goal during the 2012 BCS National Title Game.

Or if the Broncos wanted to make a move on offense, tight end Colby Fleener could turn into a nice safety valve for Tim Tebow. Fleener is off the board at No. 31 to the Giants. But it's January. There's plenty of time for changes.
