Von Miller Fined $7,500 For Unnecessary Roughness Penalty In Broncos' Playoff Loss To New England Patriots

Stay connected for news and updates

A late unnecessary roughness penalty in Denver's 45-10 playoff loss to New England is going to cost linebacker Von Miller $7,500.

Miller said he never heard the whistle but he clearly threw a block on New England special teamer Ryan Wendell well after quarterback Tom Brady’s third-down quick kick was blown dead with 2:56 remaining. A scuffle ensued but only Miller was penalized.

Miller, who has earned a spot in the 2012 Pro Bowl, did not have a tackle in the loss to the Patriots.
