Broncos Vs. Patriots, 2012 NFL Playoffs: Tim Tebow Gets Praise From Bill Belichick

The Denver Broncos picked up their first playoff win since the 2005 NFL season and Tim Tebow's first playoff win of his career. Tebow's methods and the Broncos offense are unconventional in every sense of the word, but what works works. New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick told WEEI he knows the kind of issues Tebow's style can present when trying to defend him.

"Whatever it takes to win, he's done a good job of doing that," Belichick told WEEI. "I think whenever Tebow is in the shotgun, then you have the possibility of him running their regular shotgun passing game and you also have the possibility of them running the ball, whether he's the runner or it's a dive and he keeps it. You really need another defender in the running game but it's hard to get that defender when five guys, at least four guys and sometimes five guys spread out the passing game."

These problems came to head for the Pittsburgh Steelers, as Tebow was able to hit some long passes while on the run and his receivers were able to get open against the man coverage with the extra time. The Patriots have played the Broncos already this season however, so they especially know what to expect from Tim Tebow. In the 41-23 loss earlier in the season, Tebow passed the ball for 194 yards and ran the ball for another 93 yards, including two touchdowns.
