Week 2 NFL Power Rankings: Denver Broncos Hit Rock Bottom

The Denver Broncos drop all the way to the bottom in SB Nation's latest NFL power rankings. They lost to the Oakland Raiders on Monday night, 23-20.

There were some truly awful performances during Week 1 of the NFL season. The Indianapolis Colts were completely lost against the Houston Texans, falling 34-7. The Minnesota Vikings held a 17-7 lead at halftime over the San Diego Chargers, only to see that turn into a 24-17 loss. Donovan McNabb had just 39 passing yards. And then there were the Denver Broncos in their 23-20 loss to the Oakland Raiders.

The Broncos were awful in most aspects of the game, despite the final score separating them with three-point loss. That leads to the following: where do the Broncos fall in SB Nation's latest NFL power rankings? For Joel Thorman, the Broncos are dead last in the league:

32. Denver Broncos (LW: 29): It's probably not a good thing when chants for QB Tim Tebow start up.

The shadow of Tebow has already made its way into the Broncos' season and that's only going to add to the team's inability to run the ball, defend against the run and the other myriad problems that are bound to show up.

It's debatable whether the Broncos deserve to be in the last spot. The Vikings came in at No. 31 and the Colts can be found at No. 29. Without Peyton Manning, the Colts are likely in for a longer (read: bad) season than the Broncos.
