Denver Broncos second-year wide receiver Eric Decker failed to have much of an impact during his rookie season, but things are certainly looking up for him entering the 2011 season. With the departure of Jabar Gaffney to the Washington Redskins in a trade, Decker moved up to the No. 3 wide receiver spot.
When it comes to drafting a wide receiver in your fantasy drafts, Decker is certainly one to avoid and pick up on the waiver wire. However, Decker could move into a starting position if Eddie Royal continues to prove prone to injury, which led to a poor 2010 season for him. Over at ESPN, Christopher Harris has named Decker as one of his deep sleepers as a result of the position he is in. Decker caught four passes for 45 yards and one touchdown in Saturday's game against the Seahawks.
Harris also lists Broncos rookie tight end Julius Thomas as a sleeper, which we previously mentioned in our Broncos tight ends preview. Thomas was the Broncos' leading receiver against the Seahawks, grabbing four passes for 70 yards.
Decker is owned in just three percent of Yahoo! Sports fantasy football leagues while Thomas is on a roster in one percent of leagues. They're definitely two players to keep your eyes on.
