Broncos Stadium Officially Renamed Sports Authority Field At Mile High

The Metro Stadium District committee has finally made a name change official after a vote earlier today: the Denver Broncos home will now be called “Sports Authority Field At Mile High.”

The name change will go into effect immediately, and the Broncos preseason game on August 20, 2011 against the Buffalo Bills will be the first to take place inside the newly rebranded stadium.

According to KDVR Fox 31, a new sign will go up on the building’s facade on Wednesday, August 17. By midseason, it’s likely that Broncos fans won’t even remember the name “Invesco.”
