Opera Star Keith Miller Tried Out For Denver Broncos, Played For Colorado Buffaloes

If the name of Keith Miller is familiar to Colorado Buffaloes fans, it's because he played fullback for the team in the early 1990s and was part of the 1994 team that had a miraculous last-second victory over the Michigan Wolverines in the Big House. And diehard Denver Broncos fans may recall that he tried out for the team in 2002--unsuccessfully.

What follows is likely not well known. After the Broncos passed on him, Miller started a singing career that eventually led him to become an opera singer. His latest gig takes him to Seattle, and Seattle Times columnist Steve Kelley details his story after that point. Let's just say that he is a big deal in the opera world.

Fullback in the NFL or opera star? Miller definitely made the right choice to pursue an arts career after the Broncos turned him down.
