Beal was named the Big 12 Defensive Lineman of the Year in 2010 and had 19 tackles for a loss. In his career, Beal accumulated 58.5 tackles for a loss and 29 sacks, both tied for second in school history.
Beal's selection marks six defensive players taken out of nine total selections: three linebackers, two safeties, two tight ends, one offensive lineman and one defensive end.
