2011 NFL Draft Results: Virgil Green Drafted By The Denver Broncos With 204th Pick

Stay connected for news and updates

The Denver Broncos selected a second tight end in the 2011 NFL Draft, Virgil Green out of Nevada. Green provides another end zone target for the Broncos, though he is a project.

Green helped his stock out with a great Combine and has great measurables at 6-foot-3 and 251 pounds. He helped Colin Kaepernick emerge as a top quarterback in this draft (he went to the San Francisco 49ers at pick No. 36, which was acquired from the Broncos).

Five of the eight Broncos draft picks have been on the defensive side of the ball. The three offensive selections include two tight ends and one offensive lineman.

The Broncos have one draft pick remaining, a compensatory pick that cannot be traded.
