We're just hours away from the 2011 NFL Draft and Brian Galliford of SBNation.com and Buffalo Rumblings has his final 2011 NFL Mock Draft available. While there is growing buzz that Texas A&M linebacker Von Miller will be the No. 2 overall pick for the Denver Broncos (Mel Kiper's mock goes with it), Galliford sticks with Alabama defensive tackle Marcell Dareus.
Galliford chalks up that buzz surrounding Miller at No. 2 for trade purposes, but what if Denver is able to trade out of the No. 2 spot to a team who wants a quarterback that badly, but still in range to draft Miller? It's a possibility, but there trades were not allowed in this mock.
One curveball (maybe more of a slurve) is having Colorado Buffaloes cornerback Jimmy Smith go No. 13 overall to the Detroit Lions. There had been some talk back during the Combine that the Lions wouldn't want Smith because of supposed character risks, but maybe they've overcome those concerns. He could be, some believe, the best corner in this draft.
His teammate, tackle Nate Solder, drops all the way to No. 32 for the defending Super Bowl champions, the Green Bay Packers.
The first round of the 2011 NFL Draft starts at 8 p.m. (ET) on Thursday, April 28 and SB Nation has everything you need to prepare for it - NFL mock drafts, draft
