Patriots Vs. Broncos Score Update: Denver In 16-14 Lead Over New England Midway Through 2nd Quarter

Stay connected for news and updates

The Denver Broncos and the New England Patriots don't know how to create immovable defenses on Sunday afternoon. Midway through the second quarter, the Broncos lead the Patriots, 16-14. The Patriots had the latest score when Tom Brady found Aaron Hernandez for a one-yard touchdown pass. At first, it appeared that the Patriots had scored a few plays earlier when Wes Welker caught a 21-yard strike from Tom Brady, but it turned out that he was down at the one-yard line and resulted in a gain of 19 and no touchdown.

Welker's non-score:

Denver reached New England's eight-yard line on the previous drive, but instead of going for it on 4th-and-1 there, John Fox elected to have Matt Prater kick a 26-yard touchdown, which was successful.
