Eric Decker Fantasy Update: Denver WR Struggles To Make Impact

After emerging as the primary target in the Denver Broncos passing attack earlier this season, Broncos WR Eric Decker has struggled to make an impact in recent weeks. In the 41-23 loss to the New England Patrios, Decker managed just one catch for 22 yards.

The most alarming aspect of this for Decker and his Fantasy Football owners is that the Broncos were forced to try and rally through the passing game. Once again, Demaryius Thomas emerged as the primary target for Tim Tebow, as he led the way with seven catches for 116 yards. Over the past three weeks, Decker has only made six catches and has failed to find the end zone.

Decker won't face a favorable situation next week, as the Broncos will visit Buffalo. The Bills passing defense ranks 16th in the NFL in opponents passing yards per game, while the weather certainly has the potential to be a factor, as it snowed in the Bills loss to Miami on Sunday.

Willis McGahee Fantasy Update: Broncos RB Slowed By Injury

Despite the Denver Broncos having a good amount of success rushing the ball against the New England Patriots, Denver RB Willis McGahee struggled to make an impact because of a lingering injury. While McGahee did rush for 70 yards on just seven carries, his touches were limited because of a leg injury. In his place, Lance Ball managed 11 rushes for 64 yards and a TD.

McGahee also was limited by the early deficit the Broncos faced. With New England leading by 11 points at the half, the Broncos were forced to rely on Tim Tebow and the passing game to try and rally. With the Broncos trailing by double-digits in each of the past two weeks, McGahee has seen his touches reduced.

McGahee and the Broncos will face a favorable matchup next Sunday when they travel to Buffalo. The Bills rushing defense ranks 25th in the NFL in opponents rushing yards per game, with the defense allowing an average of 130.7 ypg.

Demaryius Thomas Fantasy Update, Week 15: Thomas Remains Primary Receiving Option

Over the past three weeks, Denver Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas has emerged as the top receiving threat for Tim Tebow. Although he wasn't able to find his way into the end zone for the third consecutive game, Thomas did lead the Broncos with seven catches for 116 yards in the loss to New England.

After battling injuries throughout the season, Thomas has become a reliable receiving threat and has developed a great chemistry with Tebow. Thomas once again displayed his ability to make big plays, as he had a 39-yard reception on a busted play in the loss. Over the past three weeks, Thomas has 18 catches and three TD's. He has gone over 100 yards receiving in two of the past three weeks.

Thomas will face a challenge next week in Buffalo if the weather is anything like it was today. With snowy conditions, it might be difficult for Tebow and the Broncos offense to generate a rhythm in the passing game.

Tim Tebow Fantasy Update: Broncos QB Delivers Solid Performance In Loss

While Tim Tebow wasn't able to find away to pull off another thrilling victory, his performance surely did enough to please his Fantasy Football owners. Although Tebow had a typically steady day through the air, completing 11/22 for 194 yards, it was on the ground where he made his huge impact. In the loss, Tebow managed to rush 12 times for 93 yards and 2 TD's. This marked his first game with multiple rushing TD's this season.

One worrisome factor for people who start Tebow is the fact that he wasn't able to take advantage of the porous New England secondary. The Patriots entered this game ranked last in the NFL in opponents passing yards per game, as they allowed an average of 308.7 ypg heading into this meeting with the Broncos.

Tebow and the Broncos will certainly have the chance to bounce back against the Buffalo Bills next week. The Bills have lost seven straight games and rank 25th in the NFL in opponents rushing yards per game. While they are a little better against the pass, ranking 16th in the NFL in opponents passing yards per game, this is certainly a defense the Broncos are capable of succeeding against.

Demaryius Thomas Fantasy Projection: Denver Broncos WR Looks To Continue Hot Streak

Demaryius Thomas has turned into a semi-reliable wide receiver for Tim Tebow to target. The Denver Broncos wide receiver has had two big games recently. He started it with four catches for 144 yards and two touchdowns against the Minnesota Vikings. He did have one drop that would have resulted in a touchdown, most likely. Then he hauled in seven catches for 78 yards and a touchdown against the Chicago Bears. Again, he had several drops, though in the end they weren't that costly.

This week, numberFire has Thomas as the No. 25 receiver with 7.43 points. That comes about as a result of four catches for 55 yards. However, his risk profile comes out as high, which is fair. Tebow and Thomas have certainly paired up to be a good combination, but will Tebow be able to keep that progression as a passer going. And will Thomas stop with the drops?

Thomas is good to go as a flex option and a No. 2 wide receiver option in case of injury to others.

Willis McGahee Fantasy Projection: Denver Broncos RB Projected As No. 18 Back

Denver Broncos running back Willis McGahee is looking for his seventh 100-yard plus rushing game when he faces the New England Patriots on Sunday afternoon. The Patriots defense allows slightly over 107 yards per game, good for a top 15 rush defense, which makes it no surprise that McGahee is projected for a conservative day.

NumberFire sees McGahee with 11 carries for 50 yards, which is similar to last week's performance of 17 carries for 34 yards against the Chicago Bears. However, McGahee's total points projection is for 10.52 since he has three receptions for 30 yards. While nothing exciting in that regard, McGahee might very well be a nice target for Tebow to look for throughout the day. If his normal receivers still have a case of the dropsies, Tebow might want to look to McGahee to dump the ball off to on passing plays.

Tim Tebow Fantasy Projection: Denver Broncos QB A Top 10 Play Against New England Patriots

Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow will face one of the better teams in the NFL this season when he faces the New England Patriots on Sunday; however, the Patriots defense isn't the greatest, which could give Tebow an opening to become one of the top quarterbacks this week.

According to numberFire, Tebow will be the No. 9 overall fantasy player and quarterback this week. He's projected to reach 15.58 points on 13-of-23 passing with 169 yards, one touchdown, one interception and 36 rushing yards. He is a medium risk to start, which means numberFire is pretty confident that Tebow can meet his expected production.

If the Patriots jump out to an early lead, we'll need to see how well Tebow responds. If he continues with his three quarters of lackluster play, will he also be able to still perform in the fourth quarter if the Broncos defense has let the game slip out of hand? This will be Tebow's toughest test before a possible playoffs appearance.

Eric Decker Fantasy Projection: Broncos Wideout 35th Among Receiver Projections

The Denver Broncos square off against the New England Patriots on Sunday, and WR Eric Decker hopes to keep his touchdown magic going, but the latest numberFire projects may dissuade more than a few fantasy owners from starting Decker in Week 15:

With only 6.46 projected points, Decker ranks as the 35th wide receiver best option among numberFire's Week 15 fantasy projections. Decker leads the Broncos' receiving corps with 8 TDs, but the second-year wideout has not caught a touchdown in two weeks.

Fantasy owners looking for hidden gems among the Broncos' receivers may be better served looking Demaryius Thomas's way. The Georgia Tech product has become on of QB Tim Tebow's most favorite targets over the last few weeks, and his ownership has reflected that.

Denver Broncos Defense Fantasy Projection: Do Not Expect Too Much From The Broncos Or Patriots In Week 15

Do not expect too much in the way of defensive showcases in Sunday's Denver Broncos and New England Patriots game.

The latest numberFire projections have neither the Patriots' nor the Broncos' defense in the top 15 fantasy defenses for Week 15:

The Patriots defense, which has performed rather well in recent weeks, appears poised for a difficult weekend. The numberFire fantasy projections rate this matchup as 90.61% similar to the New England Patriots and Indianapolis Colts game of Week 7 in 2009 -- a game which the Patriots lost 34-35. Clearly, not a favorable comparison.

The numberFire projections only foresee 7.41 points for the Denver defense and special teams, 18th best among the Week 15 defense projections. Most fantasy owners, to say the least, should be able to find a better alternative to these two units.

Fantasy Football Rankings, Week 15: Tim Tebow, Tom Brady Top QBs, According To Yahoo! Sports

Sunday's contest between the Denver Broncos and the New England Patriots will feature a quarterback matchup between Tim Tebow and Tom Brady. For fantasy owners, both players are, at the least, decent starts this week. NumberFIre projects Brady to be the No. 2 fantasy quarterback this week while Tebow comes in at No. 12. The difference in points projections is under three (17.69 to 14.90).

Over at Yahoo! Sports, the Brady is the composite No. 3 quarterback behind Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees. Rodgers and Brees are individually bouncing around the No. 1 and 2 spot while Brady comes in at mostly Nos. 3 an 4. Tebow, on the other hand, is the No. 5 quarterback and bounces from as high as No. 3 to as low as No. 8.

If anyone is banking on Tebow being one of the top quarterbacks this week, it will likely need to come with Tebow continuing as a passer since he's going up against the league's worst passing defense.

Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Week 15: Demaryius Thomas No. 3 Most Added Player In ESPN Leagues

Denver Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas has turned into a favored target of Tim Tebow's over the last two weeks. After missing the first five games of the season and then having little impact in the next six, Thomas has 222 yards and three touchdown passes in the last two games. Fantasy players in ESPN leagues are making Thomas a decent pickup for this week. He is the No. 3 most added player on the ESPN big board for most added players on Thursday morning.

He's shot up from being owned in less than 10 percent of leagues to just short of 25 percent (22.4). While Thomas did have seven receptions against the Chicago Bears, he also had a couple of drops before the fourth quarter. However, Thomas did grab the only Broncos touchdown of the game with a little over two minutes left in regulation.

NumberFire projects Thomas for 6.5 points with three receptions for 49 yards.

Fantasy Football Projection, Week 15: New England Patriots' Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski Projected For Big Games Against Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos are going to face their first real challenge of the season since Tim Tebow took over as starting quarterback when they welcome the New England Patriots to Mile High. The only elite quarterback the Broncos have faced this season before Tom Brady was the Green Bay Packers' Aaron Rodgers, who threw for 408 yards and four touchdown passes and rushed for two more scores.

And the Broncos defense has allowed 45, 24 and 32 points during this winning streak. It is quite possible that Brady and the Patriots could beat up the Broncos defense. The early projections from numberFire have both Brady and his star tight end Rob Gronkowski are the top of their respective positions. Brady is the No. 2 quarterback and overall player (behind Rodgers) this week and projected to reach 17.69 points. Gronkowski ranks as the No. 23 best fantasy option and No. 1 at the tight end position with his 13.40 points. Will Gronkowski be able to make it seven straight games with a touchdown pass?
