The Denver Broncos almost made a clean sweep of the No. 8 position of this week's NFL power rankings -- among the eight major ones that RealClearSports uses in its weekly ranking averages. For Week 15, RCS calculates the Broncos' average position as No. 9, but that gives the team the No. 8 spot in the rankings average this week. The USA Today Sagarin Rankings are the outlier once again, putting the Broncos as the No. 14 team (can we make a BCS joke here? Tebow Time, Denver Broncos Time, intangibles -- all those we can't break down into a number). The Broncos come in at No. 8 in five other rankings and at No. 9 in the two remaining ones.
But, once again, we can see that there is a clear divide among the top 10 teams. The Green Bay Packers are clearly the No. 1 team while the Baltimore Ravens are the No. 2. The New Orleans Saints come in at No. 3, but there is a 1.38 gap between the Ravens and the Saints.
The next significant gap is between the No. 7 San Francisco 49ers and the No. 8 Broncos. The 49ers have a 6.63 average while the Broncos come out to a straight nine.

The Denver Broncos (8-5) are winning games and climbing power rankings. The consensus from the Week 15 NFL Power Rankings is that the Broncos are somewhere between the leagues 9th or 8th best team.
Add one more vote for No. 8, as Mike Florio of NBC's Pro Football Talk says the Broncos are somewhere between the 49ers and Falcons:
8. Broncos (No. 9; 8-5): Next up, the quarterback who screamed profanities at a coach faces the quarterback who tells the coach "God bless you," even when the coach hasn’t sneezed.
As Florio alluded to, the Tim Tebow and the Broncos will be welcoming Tom Brady -- who had an unsavory confrontation with one of his coaches on Sunday's 34-27 win over the Washington Redskins -- and the New England Patriots (10-3).
The Patriots (ranked No. 4 by Florio) are likely the best team the Broncos will have faced since their Week 4 loss to the Green Bay Packers, and will probably present Tebow with his greatest task yet.

One week ago, Fox Sports' Brian Billick became an avowed Tim Tebow fan after witnessing the Denver Broncos' victory over the Minnesota Vikings. This week, Billick is still in that corner and in his NFL power rankings he actually gets what is going on with the No. 8 Broncos:
I won't attempt to try and break this game down, but rather sit back and enjoy something special. Tim Tebow didn't do it all, but the quarterback always get all the credit and all the blame.
Can't we just live in the moment and partake in the awesomeness that Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos provide right now? For many, that seems too much to ask. However, the legions who were once out there against Tebow are fewer in number with each week. Tebow defeats his enemies by converting them into believers (but not in the religious sense, at least I hope not).

The Denver Broncos are clearly a top 10 team in the league based on NFL power rankings this week. ESPN's latest set of rankings has the Broncos move up one spot to No. 9 after the Dallas Cowboys tumble to No. 14 with Sunday's loss to the Dallas Cowboys. However, there is nary a mention of Tim Tebow:
Attention, opponents: Put yourself out of range before the fourth quarter.
Matt Prater has been nails the last several weeks. He kicked the game-winning field goal against the San Diego Chargers, the Minnesota Vikings and the Chicago Bears in the last three weeks while also kicking game-tying fields also. And let's not forget his game-winning field goal against the Miami Dolphins in Tebow's first start this season.
But will the Broncos be able to knock off the No. 5 New England Patriots at Mile High on Sunday? Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski are going to do their best to put the game away well before the fourth quarter. But as long as Tebow is the Broncos' quarterback, don't count them out.

The Denver Broncos remained the No. 8 team in the SB Nation Week 15 NFL power rankings. Only the San Francisco 49ers at then No. 4 lost on Sunday and that dropped the team to No. 6. There wasn't anywhere else for the Broncos to move up to. Had the Houston Texans not pulled out a last second victory, the Broncos would likely be looking at the No. 7 spot this week.
But even with the non-move this week, Joel Thorman is still in awe of what the Broncos are doing:
8. Denver Broncos (8-5, LW: 8): OK, now. That's 7-1 under Tim Tebow which, after a 1-4 start, is incredible. I'm a believer. Tebow and Co. control their own destiny down the stretch.
That's coming from a Kansas City Chiefs fan who has been jerked around after solid middle of the season for the team before the bottom fell. The Chiefs come in at No. 24 this week and face the 13-0 Green Bay Packers (No. 1 in the power rankings). Huge upset or expected disappointment?

Without a loss to a few of the teams ahead of the Denver Broncos, it was going to be hard for the team to move up in this week's NFL power rankings. In CBS Sports' power rankings, the Broncos made just a one-stop move this week, moving from No. 10 to No. 9. They made that move with the Dallas Cowboys' loss to the New York Giants, which should come as no surprise.
But will this be the highest the Broncos reach. Pete Prisco wonders what will happen in this Sunday's game against the New England Patriots:
During Tim Tebow's 7-1 run, they have faced a lot of bad offenses. Now they face a really good one in the Patriots. Can he do it again?
Maybe Tebow will be "forced" to win another game with his arm, like he did against the Minnesota Vikings and the Chicago Bears these past two weeks. Of course, let's not forget that Elvis Dumervil and Von Miller will want to introduce themselves to Tom Brady several times in the game.
Let's not count this one a loss before it even begins.

The Denver Broncos might not move up all that much, if at all, in the latest NFL power rankings, but it might be the team's highest rating this season if they lost to the New England Patriots on Sunday.
