Denver Broncos cornerback Cassius Vaughn left Sunday's game with an ankle injury and might be out for the remainder of the season.
Denver Broncos' CB and special teams maven Cassius Vaughn is likely out for the season after breaking a fibula in Sunday's victory over the San Diego Chargers. According to the Denver Post, Vaughn, who was unable to return to the game after the injury, was seen after the game with his lower leg bandaged as he was being taken to the team bus via a cart.
The Broncos had deactivated normal kick returner Quan Cosby before the game and delegated the duties to Vaughn. With him out, wide receivers Eric Decker and Eddie Royal returned kicks, but with both of them being key contributors on offense, Denver may look to reactivate Cosby for next week's match up vs. the Minnesota Vikings.

The Denver Broncos had another early injury this season. On the kick return after the San Diego Chargers' field goal, cornerback Cassius Vaughn chose to return the ball from inside the endzone. He got knocked up on the play and had to be looked at on the sidelines. After the trainers determined it was an ankle injury, Vaughn had the area taped up and attempted to walk by himself. He wasn't and, according to 850 KOA, he was brought to the locker room for further examination. He is now questionable to return.
The Broncos deactivated Quan Cosby before the game. He has been a returner for the Broncos in the season, but he has not played recently. Earlier in the year, Eric Decker was a punt returner, but he has now transitioned to starting wide receiver. Eddie Royal is in line to take up all the return duties right now.
