Tim Tebow Week 12 Fantasy Update: Denver Broncos QB Solid In Victory

Sunday brought another win for the Denver Broncos as well as another modest performance by Tim Tebow through the air--he completed nine of 18 pass attempts for 143 yards and a touchdown. Tebow has yet to throw for more than 200 yards in a game this season. Although he continues to struggle to complete more than 50% of his throws, he's done a nice job limiting mistakes.

He was more involved in the ground game than he has been all season, though; his 22 carries against San Diego were a season high. So far that's been the more reliable part of Tebow's game from a fantasy perspective, as he's run for at least 40 yards in each of the last six games. On Sunday he ran for 67 yards over those 22 carries, the fourth time in the last five games he's run for at least 60 yards. If he continues to carry the ball as often as he did against the Chargers, he may start to put up bigger numbers on the ground.

Eric Decker Week 12 Fantasy Update: Decker Is Denver's Leading Receiver In 16-13 Win Over San Diego

Wide receiver Eric Decker led the Denver Broncos with three receptions for 67 and a touchdown during Sunday's win at San Diego. Tim Tebow and Decker connected on an 18-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter; it was Decker's eighth touchdown reception in what has been an up-and-down season.

It's been difficult to know what to expect from Decker over the last couple of months, and he hasn't caught more than three passes in a game since Oct. 30. But he continues to find the end zone, and Sunday's score marked the fourth time in the last five games he'd caught a touchdown pass.

For the season, he has 37 receptions for 527 yards and eight touchdowns. Next up for Decker and the Broncos is a game at Minnesota on Dec. 4.

Tim Tebow Fantasy Projection: Latest Numbers Make Denver Broncos QB Decent Start

The latest projection for Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow are in and numberFire has upped his fantasy points to 14.59. He was around 12 points earlier in the week. But Tebow is always going to be hard to projects. NumberFire projects Tebow to complete 11 passes on 23 attempts for 134 yards. In all possibility that could happen (he completed nine of 20 passes against the New York Jets), but that largely depends on the state of the running game.

If Willis McGahee is back at full strength, Tebow may not have the need to throw the ball 20 times. And Tebow has his legs to significantly throw off numbers. He is projected for 46 yards this week. That seems a decent amount to be reached, but also one that could be hard to reach if John Fox attempts to play oddball with the running game like he did against the Jets.

This will be his second career start against the Chargers and his first in San Diego. In 2010, Tebow's third and final start of the season saw him complete 16-of-36 passes for 205 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. He had 13 carries for 94 yards. In the second half of this season's game, Tebow was just 4-of-10 for 79 yards and had 38 yards on the ground. Time to see what he can do on the road.

Willis McGahee Fantasy Projection: Denver Broncos RB Looks For Better Things

Denver Broncos running back Willis McGahee tantalized fantasy owners several weeks ago when he rushed for 163 yards and two touchdowns against the Oakland Raiders. He then followed that up by leaving the game against the Kansas City Chiefs with a hamstring injury in the first quarter. While there were doubts about his availability against the Jets, McGahee gave it a go last Thursday and wound up struggling to 12 carries for 18 yards.

McGahee had been limited in practice all week before the Jets game, but this week he was a full participant in Wednesday's practice. However, numberFire isn't projecting a big game for the running back. McGahee is projected for just 6.82 points with nine carries for roughly 42 yards. Lance Ball could take carries away from him, and Tebow's ability to come up with the big running play from out of nowhere could also limit touches.

Still, this seems a bit too pessimistic right now. Expect numberFire to increase that number for their final projections, especially since the Broncos are facing the No. 23 rush defense in the league.
