Lions Vs. Broncos: Jahvid Best Day-To-Day Heading Into Denver Game

Detroit Lions running back Jahvid Best suffered his second concussion a couple of weeks ago and missed last Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons. On Monday, Lions head coach Jim Schwartz proclaimed him day-to-day for the game against the Denver Broncos (via the Detroit News):

"I think we'll probably just on Wednesday put him on the injury report where he is," Schwartz said. "But, I don't think we consider him anything more than day-to-day at this time."

Best had 390 yards but just two touchdowns before his concussion. He also has been a threat receiving out of the backfield with 27 catches for 287 yards and one touchdown.

In his place, Maurice Morris and Keiland Williams combined for 94 yards on 18 carries against the Falcons. The team almost had Ronnie Brown to fill in for Best, but when Jerome Harrison underwent a physical for the Philadelphia Eagles a brain tumor was found and the trade canceled.
