Tim Tebow Keeps Fantasy Football Owners In Suspense, But Provides In The End

If any fantasy owners decided to take the risk and start Denver Brocos quarterback Tim Tebow on Sunday, there was likely plenty of frustration through the first 55 minutes of the game. At one point he had 24 passing yards, but two total because the Miami Dolphins sacked him so much (seven by the end of the game). He did have a few nice runs earlier in the game, but it wasn't until the last five minutes when things turned around.

Tebow wound up throwing two touchdown passes and finished with 161 passing yards. He also had 65 yards on eight carries, including a successful two-point conversion. In a standard ESPN league, he picked up 22 fantasy points, fourth most by any quarterback on Sunday. The only players ahead of him were Drew Brees (five touchdowns, 33 points), Ben Roethlisberger (three touchdowns, 26 points) and Aaron Rodgers and Cam Newton (25 points). The latter quarterback had 59 rushing yards.

But does that late performance actually mean owners should start him next week against the Lions. At the moment, the Lions are reeling from a two-game losing streak, but they will still be a tougher test than the now 0-6 Dolphins. He is, at this point, the ultimate risk/reward player because his scrambling ability can make up for the deficiencies in his passing game.
