Fantasy Football, Week 7: Tim Tebow Leaves Many Wondering How To Handle

Tim Tebow could provide fantasy owners with a nice reward this Sunday, but will owners want to take that risk?

While Denver Broncos quarterback Kyle Orton was never really an option for fantasy owners to start when he was under center for the team, newly-placed quarterback Tim Tebow seemingly has an 11-game tryout. Fantasy owners should certainly pay close attention to how he plays this Sunday against the Miami Dolphins.

During the bye week, I suggested fantasy players shouldn't rush to pick him up before he started his first game of the season, that he was a player worth watching. However, his matchup against the Miami Dolphins appears to be his easiest one until the team plays the Minnesota Vikings on Dec. 4--that's the sixth game after this Sunday's against the Dolphins.

If we look at numberFire's projections for Tebow against the Dolphins, the second-year quarterback could be a decent start. The site projects over 16 points with roughly 18-of-29 passing for 215 yards and one touchdown pass (we'll go the conservative route and round down on that one). Tebow has 13 rushing yards projected, but he's almost a guaranteed lock for more than that.

The Dolphins have the No. 12 rush defense, but will they be fully prepared for Tebow? The pass defense is lacking, just No. 29 in the league. This might be the week an owner wants to take a risk on Tebow.
