The Denver Broncos played some horrible football against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday afternoon, but a late comeback and an overtime field goal gave them the 18-15 victory.

Broncos Vs. Dolphins Final Score: TIm Tebow Leads 4th Quarter Comeback In 18-15 Overtime Victory

For the first time in franchise history, the Denver Broncos defeated the Miami Dolphins on the road, 18-15. It took a Matt Prater field goal in overtime to defeat the Dolphins. Prater missed two field goals earlier in the game, but redeemed himself with the game-winning kick.

Tim Tebow played a huge part in the by leading a fourth quarter comeback in the final five minutes. After playing abysmally for the first three and a half quarters, Tebow found Demaryius Thomas and Daniel Fells for touchdown receptions inside the final three games. But Tebow also needed a two-point conversion to tie the game at 15, which he ran into the end zone unimpeded.

On the day, Tebow was 13-of-27 for 161 yards and two touchdown passes. He also had eight carries for 65 yards. Willis McGahee had just 76 yards on 18 carries, leaving the game late with a hand injury.

Matthew Willis and Fells had key receptions of 42 yards and 31 yards, respectively, to set up the touchdowns.

The 2-4 Broncos return home for a contest with the Detroit Lions at Mile High. Tim Tebow is certainly looking for another exciting game.

Broncos Vs. Dolphins Overtime Alert: Tim Tebow Leads 4th Quarter Comeback

For the first 54 minutes of Sunday's game, the Denver Broncos looked to have hit rock bottom. They were down, 15-0, to the Miami Dolphins and struggling mightily. But then Tim Tebow willed his team to victory, throwing two touchdown passes within the final three minutes of the game. He found Demaryius Thomas for a five-yard touchdown. On the next drive, he hooked up with Daniel Fells a couple of times, including the three-yard touchdown pass.

Here's video of the second touchdown pass:

Tebow drops back and floats a pass to Fells before the pressure gets to him. Fells then glides into the end zone before a couple of defenders attempt to hit him. The Broncos made the two-point conversion and sent the game to overtime.

VIDEO: Tim Tebow Throws TD Pass To Demaryius Thomas

The Denver Broncos narrowly avoided being shutout on Sunday afternoon, scoring a touchdown late in the fourth quarter. Tebow found Demaryius Thomas for a five-yard touchdown catch.

As always, Tebow had to escape the pocked to avoid pressure. Once he did that, Tebow found Demaryius Thomas for a diving five-yard touchdown reception. As we see, the Dolphins' defenders believed he didn't catch it. Before Matt Prater attempted the extra point, Miami called a time out and had the play challenged. The official confirmed the ruling on the field that Thomas had possession of the ball as he came to the ground.

That is just the third touchdown reception by Thomas in his brief, injury-riddle two-year career. The Broncos are down 15-7 after the score.

VIDEO: Tim Tebow Electrifies Miami Crowd For A Play

Tim Tebow isn't having the best of games for the Denver Broncos, but then no one on the field between the Broncos and the Miami Dolphins is doing much good. Tebow is just 3-of-5 for 24 yards passing while rushing five times for 44 yards. He had a 21-yard run toward the end of the second half that excited the crowd:

That's pretty much vintage Tebow. He doesn't find an open receiver so he falls back and looks close to being sacked. But before that happens at the goal line, Tebow escapes, sheds a couple of tackles and then barrels his way through another defender to pick up 21 yards and the first down. The crowd goes wild

Then on the next play, Tebow fumbled the ball. The crowd started to chant, "Tebow sucks!." So, yeah, that's how things have gone on Sunday

Broncos Vs. Dolphins Halftime Score: Offensive Ineptitude By Both Sides Results In Miami Lead, 6-0

The Denver Broncos and the Miami Dolphins are playing in a very offensive game at halftime--offensive to football watchers' sensibilities and to fans of both teams. The Dolphins lead the Broncos at halftime, 6-0.

The Broncos twice had chances to put points on the board, but Matt Prater missed two field goals of 45-plus yards. The Dolphins, meanwhile, saw Dan Carpenter kick field goals of 38 and 36 yards for the lead. It has been a poor offensive showing by both teams.

Running back Willis McGahee had a costly fumble that led to the Dolphins second field goal:

As we see, McGahee takes the ball up the middle of the field, but he fails to properly secure the ball, resulting in a fumble and a turnover. That pretty much sums up the afternoon so far for both teams.

Broncos Vs. Dolphins: Tim Tebow, Denver Down After 1st Quarter

Even though Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow visiting Miami appears to have led to many ticket sales, Sun Life Stadium has many missing seats. And the football has been bad, too. After one quarter of play, the Miami Dolphins lead the Broncos, 3-0.

Tebow's first drive was unspectacular. In fact, he almost threw a pick-six to linebacker Karlos Dansby on his firt pass of the game. He's 2-of-3 for eight yards. Eric Decker has a seven-yard reception and running back Knowshon Moreno picked up a one-yard catch. Willis McGahee has run for 29 yards on seven carries. Tebow has three of the team's 10 carries and has 19 yards so far. He broke off a 13-yard run.

Dolphins quarterback Matt Moore is 7-of-11 for 52 yards, but his team had been unable to do much on offense before the field goal. His opposite number, Matt Prater, missed a 49-yard field goal for the Broncos in the first quarter.

Rookie Quinton Carter started in place of Rahim Moore at safety while Eddie Royal was in for Demaryius Thomas to start the game.

Tim Tebow Plays Conservative 1st Drive, Sees Team Punt

Tim Tebow's first drive as the Denver Broncos' starting quarterback began at his own 15-yard line. After loud cheers and boos erupted when he stepped foot onto the field, Tebow had his work to do. On his first play, Tebow was under center and he then handed off to Willis McGahee for a run of three yards. With his second snap, Tebow was in the shotgun and looked for Demaryius Thomas. Tebow faced plenty of pressure and almost threw it to Karlos Dansby.

On 3rd-and-6, Tebow faked a hand off and then ran for a short gain, resulting in a three-and-out on his first drive. Miami will have its second drive after also punting on their first opportunity. The crowd is still trying to get into the game.

Broncos Vs. Dolphins: Brady Quinn, Julius Thomas Lead Game's Inactives

The Denver Broncos and the Miami Dolphins announced their inactives for Sunday's early afternoon game. Brady Quinn is the top name sitting out this game, but that is because the team needs wide receiver depth. Among the others sitting out this game for the Broncos are recently signed safety Rafael Bush, fullback Quinn Johnson, offensive linemen Manny Ramirez and Tony Hills, tight end Julius Thomas and defensive end Derrick Harvey.

Thomas is still waiting to be the last of the three Thomases on the team to return to action. He was listed as questionable entering the game after limited practice all week. He had a high-ankle sprain in Week 2's victory over the Cincinnati Bengals and hasn't played since.

For the Dolphins, safety Redhad Jones and running back Steve Slaton lead the inactive list.

Broncos Vs. Dolphins Update: Brady Quinn Inactive; Kyle Orton Will Backup Tim Tebow

The Denver Broncos will only have two quarterbacks active on Sunday against the Miami Dolphins, According to Mike Klis of the Denver Post, Brady Quinn will be inactive for the game in order to allow the team to have depth at wide receiver. Both Eddie Royal and Demaryius Thomas are returning from injury this week and the team doesn't want to be stuck like they were in Week 2 when Tebow had to play as an emergency receiver. Tebow can't do this time around and Kyle Orton won't be lining up in the slot.

While this situation could change in the weeks ahead, at least for this week we know that Kyle Orton is favored as the backup to Tebow. However, coach John Fox needs to stick with Tebow even if he struggles. Putting Orton back in at the first sign of trouble would be a disaster.

Broncos Vs. Dolphins: Time, TV Schedule, Radio Streaming And More

It's finally time. Tim Tebow leads the Denver Broncos into South Beach for a game against the Miami Dolphins. The attention this game has become a bit ridiculous since the teams are a combined 1-9 this season. But Tim Tebow is certainly the epicenter for all of this attention. At halftime of the game, the Dolphins will honor Tebow and his 2009 Florida Gators national championship team.

It's a bit of an off choice since this is the home to the rival Miami Hurricanes, but the Dolphins need ways to bring fans into the stadium and Tim Tebow certainly draws big crowds. It's a good bet that many of the people in the stadium aren't too concerned about the outcome of this game; rather, they are there to see Tebow.

It's the cult of personality, right?

Broncos Vs. Dolphins: Reggie Bush, Brandon Marshall Listed As Probable Against Denver

The injury reports for the Denver Broncos and the Miami Dolphins came out on Friday afternoon and there was nothing unexpected on it. Despite Reggie Bush and Brandon Marshall missing Wednesday's practice, both had full participation in Thursday's and Friday's time on the field and are listed as probable for the game. Running back Daniel Thomas is also probable. The Dolphins have two defensive backs listed as questionable and another as doubtful.

For the Denver Broncos, only tight end Julius Thomas, recovering from a high-ankle sprain, is questionable. He hasn't played since Week 2. Demaryius Thomas is expected to receive his first playing time this year after coming back from Achilles surgery and a broken pinky finger (the latter delaying his return).

Miami Dolphins Injury Report: Brandon Marshall, Reggie Bush Return To Practice

Miami Dolphins fans are breathing a sigh of relief on Thursday night after learning that running back Reggie Bush and wide receiver Brandon Marshall returned to practice. Both sat out on Wednesday, which led to concerns over their statuses for Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos, but they had 100 percent participation and should be good to go.

Bush tandems in the backfield with Daniel Thomas, who was limited due to a hamstring injury. However, he is expected to play. Bush is the change-of-pace back while Thomas, a rookie, serves as the feature back.

Here is Thursday's full practice report:

Denver Broncos Injury Report: Broncos Have All 53 Men Practice Again

The Denver Broncos had all 53 men on the active roster participate on Thursday, the second time that has happened all season long. Only Willis McGahee saw a downgrade from full participation to limited. However, that should not be considered a sign that McGahee has a nagging back issue. According to Lindsay Jones of the Denver Post, McGahee was limited so he could receive rest.

McGahee turns 30 on Oct. 21 and he has shouldered much of the rushing load this season while Knowshon Moreno battled injury and general ineffectiveness.

Brian Dawkins looks more and more likely to play even with a neck injury impacting his play. Tight end Julius Thomas hasn't played since Week 2 when he suffered a high-ankle sprain.

Here is the injury report through Thursday:

Name  Pos. Injury  Wed.  Thu.
Brian Dawkins S  Head/Neck  LP  FP
Willis McGahee RB  Back  FP  LP
Eddie Royal WR  Groin  FP  FP
Julius Thomas TE  Ankle  LP  LP
Demaryius Thomas WR  Finger  FP  FP

Brandon Marshall Injury: Miami Dolphins WR Has Quad Issue

After sitting out Wednesday's practice, Miami Dolphins wide receiver Brandon Marshall was listed on the team's report with a quad injury. If he practices on Thursday, it's more than likely that he will go up against Champ Bailey on Sunday, just one week after he battled the New York Jets' Darrelle Revis. If Marshall is unable to go, Matt Moore is going to have a tough throwing the ball to receivers such as Davone Bess and Brian Hartline.

Reggie Bush was listed with a groin injury, not with a neck injury that cropped up against the Jets on Monday night. Just as with Marshall, if Bush practices on Thursday the chances are good that he will on Sunday.

Safety Reshad Jones was the only other player not to practice for the Dolphins, as he is dealing with a knee injury.
