2011 NFL Draft Prospects: Andrew Luck Leads Stanford Cardinal Against Virginia Tech In Orange Bowl

Stay connected for news and updates

All eyes will be on Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck tonight in the Orange Bowl when the No. 4 Cardinal face the No. 13 Virginia Tech Hokies. Luck is regarded as the No. 1 quarterback and the No. 1 overall prospect in this year's NFL Draft and his prospects are as good as many highly rated quarterback in recent memory (or even as far back as Peyton Manning in the later 1990s).

Luck has not been vocal about his decision one way or the other, though there are reports that Luck is siding toward a return to school in the fall. Should he come out, it is highly unlikely that the Carolina Panthers would pass on Luck with the first overall pick. However, should Luck not come out, we will see a battle for the first overall pick between several defensive players (Clemson's Da'Quan Bowers, Auburn's Nick Fairley and LSU's Patrick Peterson, among others). And why not throw in Georgia wide receiver A.J. Green?

Our friends at SB Nation Bay Area have a good run-down on other potential Stanford draftees playing in this game.
