The Denver Broncos' Tim Tebow played a heck of a game last Sunday against the Chiefs. He threw his first career pass, which went for a touchdown, and rushed for a touchdown, as well. He has a 118.8 QB rating as a result of that one pass and one touchdown. That performance was enough for voters on NFL.com to award him the Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week Award for Week 10.
Tebow's competition came from Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back LeGarrette Blount (91 yards, 1 TD), New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski (72 yards, 3 TD), Cincinnati Bengals tight end Jermaine Gresham (85 yards, 1 TD) and Dallas Cowboys cornerback Bryan McCann (101-yard interception TD return). Out of these four, McCann's performance has the most "wow" to it and Gronkowski was a touchdown hound, but voters approved of the popular quarterback's performance to a great degree than all the others.
Tebow is the fourth AFC West rookie to be named rookie of the week. The Kansas City Chiefs' Dexter McCluster and Tony Moeaki won the awards weeks 1 and 3 and the Oakland Raiders' Jacoby Ford won it in week 9.
