Colorado State's first win over rival Colorado since 2009 may have come at a price. According to the Denver Post, starting running back Chris Nwoke is questionable for Saturday's game against North Dakota State after injuring his ankle against Colorado.

Nwoke rushed for 47 yards on 11 carries in the Rams' win, but did not play in the fourth quarter after injuring the ankle. He did not practice today and, according to rules set forth by new coach Jim McElwain, Nwoke must practice on Wednesday or he will not be permitted to play.

In Nwoke's absence, freshman Donnell Alexander acquitted himself nicely, rushing for 66 yards on just eight carries. But losing Nwoke would be no small thing. Last season, he burst onto the scene after being made the feature back for the Rams during the season. At one juncture, Nwoke rushed for 156 and 232 yards in consecutive weeks, then posted a 269-yard game two weeks later -- bringing his 2011 rushing total to 1,130 yards.
