Colorado State Basketball Recruiting 2013: Marcus Holt Becomes First Commit

Junior college PF Marcus Holt is the first member of CSU's 2013 recruiting class.

Larry Eustachy has landed his first commitment as head coach of the Colorado State Rams. On Tuesday, Paris Junior College power forward Marcus Holt pledged to the Rams for the 2013 recruiting class. According to Holt, who stands 6-foot-10, he chose Colorado State over the Nevada Wolf Pack and Mississippi State Bulldogs.

Holt told The Coloradoan that he had offers from the Missouri Tigers, Xavier Musketeers and Boston College Eagles while in high school, but he was unable to meet eligibility requirements and thus decided to do a stint at a junior college. Last year at Paris, Holt averaged 3.3 points and 3.1 rebounds per game in limited time.

Holt is a native of Aurora, Colo. who played his high school ball at Rangeview High School.
