The 2012 nominees for the College Football Hall of Fame include former members of the Colorado Buffaloes, Colorado St. Rams and and Air Force Falcons.

The 2012 inductees for the College Football Hall of Fame will be announced on May 15 at 9:30 a.m. MT, and there are several former members of the Colorado Buffaloes, Colorado St. Rams and and Air Force Falcons that are hoping to hear their name called. Thorpe Award winner Greg Myers of CSU joins two-time All-American OG Joe Garten and Air Force Safety Scott Thomas as the local hopefuls for the 2012 class. None of the trio are among the favorites to be inducted, but if they are on the list at least they have a chance. Former Colorado head coach Bill McCartney, who led the Buffaloes to a 1990 national title, is one of the eight coaches on this year's list of nominees.
