Colorado State Football 2012: Jim McElwain Displeased With Indoor Facility

According to the Coloradoan, the news Colorado St. Rams head coach may not conduct another full-team practice in the Rams' indoor facility:

"I've got to really evaluate," McElwain said... "And to be productive and successful, it doesn't do us any good to practice in here."

The Colorado State indoor practice facility cost an approximate $13 million to build and 72% of its 66,267 square feet are dedicated to the football program. Despite that, the two-year-old facility forced the CSU football team -- with 103 student-athletes on the roster -- to change their practice plans because of space limitations.

"The guys adapted well," McElwain said. "Obviously, it's disappointing that it's so small that you're not able to actually get a full day's work out of it. That's why we had to condition at the end, because we weren't able to actually run a practice."
