Colorado State's spring game is on Saturday afternoon, and a good post-game meal is on the line.
The Colorado State Rams are preparing for Saturday's spring game, where, among other things, new head coach Jim McElwain will be looking to see how his players respond in a live game situation. And he's tossed out an interesting incentive for both teams:
"The winners get steak and the losers get beans," said Head Coach Jim McElwain. "We split the whole coaching staff, split all the trainers, and equipment people. Anybody who is trying to sit on the fence, they get beans no matter what."
The play of the Rams' quarterbacks should merit watching, as the team lost Pete Thomas during the offseason; Thomas decided to leave the program after the coaching change and ended up transferring to N.C. State. He played in 21 games at CSU over the last two seasons.
The spring game kicks off at 1:00 p.m. MT.
