New Mexico Vs. Air Force Score Update: Lobos On Path To Easy Victory At Halftime, 45-31

Stay connected for news and updates

The No. 7 Air Force Falcons are going to have plenty of work to do in the second half if they want to even come close to threatening the No. 2 New Mexico Lobos during their 2012 Mountain West Tournament on Thursday night. The Lobos lead the Falcons at halftime, 45-31.

The Falcons are shooting decently at 47.6 percent, but they have put up just 21 shots. Star guard Michael Lyons made his first seven points of the game at the free throw line and got his first basketball, a three-pointer, with just a little over two minutes left in the first half.

The Lobos, however, have taken advantage of the Falcons' 18 personal fouls by going to the free throw line 27 times (and making 23 of them). Like the Rams (who made three three-pointers), the Lobos have done well from beyond the arc by sinking four three-pointers. Demetrius Walker leads New Mexico with 14 points off the bench.
