The Mountain West Conference figures to be well-represented when the NCAA Tournament Field is announced

Since the opening tip of the college basketball season in November, every team and fan base has been eagerly anticipating Selection Sunday. The long wait will finally come to an end on Sunday evening when, the 68-team NCAA Tournament field is finally announced.

The Mountain West Conference figures to be one of the main stories of the day, as four teams are projected to make the NCAA Tournament. With UNLV, San Diego St., New Mexico and Colorado St. all awaiting the opportunity to play in the tournament, the MWC can clearly stake its claim as the best conference on the West Coast.

The Colorado Buffaloes, of course, went from being a committee selection to the Pac-12's automatic entry following the tournament victory.

Two of the top seeds seem entrenched, with both Kentucky and Syracuse locked in as No. 1 seeds. However, the other two top seeds seem to be open and might not be decided until just minutes before the Selection Show.
