The Air Force Falcons (11-9, 1-5) travel to Fort Collins to take on the Colorado State Rams (14-7, 3-3) on Saturday afternoon.
The Colorado State Rams finished a stretch against the top three teams in the Mountain West Conference with a record of 1-2, but now they get the chance to push their MWC record back above .500 against the struggling Air Force Falcons on Saturday.
Colorado State grabbed a terrific upset win over the then No. 12-ranked San Diego State Aztecs last Saturday, but they followed up that performance by getting blown out 82-63 by UNLV on Wednesday. The Rams have now lost three of their last four games, and need a win to get back over .500 in MWC conference play. Meanwhile, Air Force has dropped five consecutive conference games and has not won since January 14th.
CSU is led by junior guards Wes Eikmeier and Dorian Green. Eikmeier averages 15.9 points per game and shoots 37.0 percent from three, while Green adds 13.5 points per game on 49.4 percent shooting from the field and a spectacular 48.8 percent shooting from beyond the arc. After struggling for several conference games in a row, Eikmeier has gotten back on track by scoring in double figures for three straight games.
