Colorado State can't quite seem to get over the hump as far as NCAA tournament bracketologists are concerned. The Rams recently upset New Mexico, which helped their standing, but they were unable to follow that up with a road win over San Diego State. The Rams are treading water in Mountain West play, 6-0 at home and 0-6 on the road.
ESPN's Joe Lunardi updated his NCAA tournament bracket projections on Monday and lists CSU among the first four teams left out of the field of 68, which is where the Rams were this time last week.
Colorado State can still pick up a quality win over UNLV before the regular season ends, and the conference tournament could provide opportunities for more resume-builders as well.
