Because Thin Air Is Good For You!
How good of a hire Jim McElwain will be for the Colorado St. Rams is, obviously, going to take a few years to determine, but he does look ready to resurrect a moribund team. He has the pedigree of coming from a BCS national championship program with the Alabama Crimson Tide and has served under one of the top college coaches, Nick Saban.
Sports Illustrated's Stewart Mandel offers a positive assessment of McElwain in his coaching hire ratings:
Colorado State (Jim McElwain): Alabama's offensive coordinator the past four years spent much of his career in the West and is well prepared to be a head coach.
Sights are probably set higher than this, but Goal No. 1 should be to win at least four games in 2012.
