2012 East-West Shrine Game Final Score: Colorado's Tyler Hansen Throws For 144 Yards In West's 24-17 Victory

Former Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Tyler Hansen will take the next few months to show NFL teams why they should spend a late-round pick on him in the 2012 NFL Draft, but he spent Saturday on the gridiron to show evaluators and scouts in attendance what he can do against an all-star team. At the 2012 East-West Shrine Game, Hansen helped lead the West team to a 24-17 victory.

Hansen went 4-of-4 for 49 yards and a rushing touchdown in the first half. He then came out in the second half to finish the game 12-of-17 for 144 yards. He was the best quarterback on the West team, better than Chandler Harnish and Dan Persa. Hansen rushed three times for 18 yards, as well.

The West team was down at halftime, 17-14, but a field goal early in the fourth quarter tied it and then Lennon Creer scored the game-winning touchdown with 57 seconds left in the game.

2012 East-West Shrine Game Halftime Score: Colorado's Tyler Hansen Adds TD For West But In A 17-14 Deficit

The 2012 Shrine Game enters halftime with the East team in a 17-14 lead over the West team. Southern Miss quarterback Austin Davis threw a three-yard touchdown pass to LaRon Byrd for the go-ahead score with 20 seconds left in the half.

Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Tyler Hansen has the most recent score for the West team. He ran a three-yard quarterback draw for a touchdown about five minutes before Davis' score for the opposing squad. Hansen was 4-of-4 for 49 yards to go with his two rushes for 18 yards and a touchdown in the first half.

Northern Illinois Huskies quarterback Chandler Harnish scored the West's other touchdown on a one-yard run five minutes into the second quarter. The East scored its other points on a B.J. Coleman 17-yard touchdown pass to B.J. Cunningham and on a 28-yard field goal. Both came in the first quarter.

Boise State St. Broncos wide receiver Tyler Shoemaker has caught one pass for eight yards.

2012 East-West Shrine Game: Tyler Hansen, Tyrone Crawford Among Prospects From Colorado, Boise State

The 2012 East-West Shrine Game gets underway on Saturday, Jan. 21, at 2:00 p.m. MT, and the Boise St. Broncos and the Colorado Buffaloes have former players who will be looking to impress scouts other NFL executives during the game at Tropicana Field. For Boise State, defensive end Tyrone Crawford and wide receiver Tyler Shoemaker will be joined by the Buffs' quarterback Tyler Hansen and guard Ryan Miller on the West squad.

Crawford has been the standout player during practice and was rated as one of the top defensive prospects by one evaluator. However, Crawford and the others are unlikely to be selected before Day 3 of the draft and maybe no earlier than the sixth round. Being an undrafted free agent is always a possibility.

2012 East-West Shrine Game: Boise State DE Tyrone Crawford Ranked 5th-Best Prospect In Game

The 2012 NFL Draft is only months away, and under-the-radar prospects are desperately trying to make a name for themselves whenever NFL scouts are around. Boise State defensive end Tyrone Crawford is particularly focused on performing well at the 2012 East-West shrine game and in team practices throughout the week. Wes Bunting from the National Football Post is high on Crawford, and ranked him as the No. 5 overall prospect playing in the Shrine game. Here is what Bunting had to say after watching Crawford in practice all week:

At 285-pounds Crawford showcased natural power all week at the point of attack in the run game while exhibiting the ability to be sudden with his hands and slip blocks. He's also a physical pass rusher who turns speed into power off the edge, understands angles and knows how to rush with leverage. I could see him fighting for a starting job as a 43 base end potentially early on.

The projection as a 4-3 defensive end means Bunting thinks Crawford would be a great fit on either the Cleveland Browns, Tennessee Titans or Denver Broncos. The Boise State product is currently ranked as the No. 16 defensive end in this year's draft class by Bunting on NFP.

2012 East-West Shrine Game: Boise State's Tyrone Crawford Impresses Scouts

The Boise St. Broncos are going to have a draft class in 2012 that could include more than five players. This weekend, defensive lineman Tyrone Crawford and wide receiver Tyler Shoemaker are out to improve their draft stock by playing in the East-West Shrine Game at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla. Crawford has stood out as a player on the rise. As SI.com's Tony Pauline writes about Crawford:

Scouts have been waiting for Crawford to break out all season, and it looks like he picked the Shrine Game to impress them. He's an athletic player who flashes a lot of explosion and strength. Crawford impressed with his inside moves today and ability to rush the passer.

The National Football Post's Wes Bunting has also praised Crawford for being able to use his speed and over power opposing offensive linemen.

Crawford picked up 6.5 sacks and 13.5 tackles for a loss in 2011. He could be working his way up to an early Day 3 selection.
